The last few months have been packed full with day-to-day normal life for us—at least for what is “normal” for us right now. The last few years have been so full of change that it’s hard to know what “normal” really is. But, honestly, that is one thing that God often uses in our lives to cause us to focus and rely on Him. When you don’t know what’s next—and let’s be honest none of us do—we can put our trust in the One who does!
We’ve been busy with the ever-continual language learning—living life out in the culture as well as at school. We love our school we attend by the way and are preparing for our big exams this summer. Sommer bakes something delicious every week for our small group and it’s usually something that is typically american. We recently got to go to a “worship night of praise” at an evangelical church in the classic neighborhood of Trastevere. It was a special night to praise our great God alongside so many other Italian follows of Jesus in the heart of Rome. We have two precious littles that keep us on our toes with exploring the world around us, making homemade pizzas and other goodies at home…and lots of running! Who’s the fastest, Daddy? Thankfully there are plenty of hugs and cuddle time as well, which especially makes mommy happy. Life lately is good—these are the days!
